WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE "BALANCED?"
When you search "what does it mean to be balanced?" on the web, the Merriam-Webster dictionary states the following: "bal·anced ˈba-lən(t)st. : being in a state of balance : having different parts or elements properly or effectively arranged, proportioned, regulated, considered, etc."
BALANCE AS A WORKING MOM
Bundled is proud to employ dozens of working moms who are always trying to find the sweet spot between juggling home life and career life (while also taking care of themselves). Quite frankly, it's a lot easier said than done. Oftentimes, our employees express that while filling up the cups of others, they forget to fill up their own. It is nearly impossible for them to feel "balanced" all day, everyday.
DOES TRUE BALANCE EVEN EXIST? LET'S ASK CHELSEA GHEESLING
Chelsea Gheesling, the co-founder of Bundled, shares her thoughts on the term "balance" and doing it all: "Balance is a myth. Daily balance, even weekly balance, puts a lot of pressure on us. In different times of the year or seasons, we could be super busy, slower, or have a lot on our plate. I recommend you look at your month and say, 'How balanced was my month? Did I spend time with people I care about? Did I take care of my body? Did I work as hard as I could?' For me, this took a lot of pressure off. That's the way I look at 'doing it all and balancing it all'. Not by the day, not by the week, but by the month. Did I do everything in my power, as a woman, to feel balanced this month?"
